About a month ago my family came to visit, and just like every time they come, it was fun to be a tourist for a few days and see places I wouldn’t normally go.

On one of the days during their stay, I took them to the Bronx Zoo. It was a weekday and most attractions were closed for the season, so the zoo was very quiet and not busy at all. It was nice to be able to walk around feeling like we were the only visitors.

Here’s a selection of the pictures I took.

  1. That green frog looks like a human. I love the zoo. Seeing the animals close up and learning about an animal that lives in another part of the world gives people the oppourtunity to appreciate wildlife. Many animal activists believe that zoos are cruel. I feel that the zoo puts people in touch with the environment and makes them more aware of cruelty. All of us have our jobs- I like to think that these animals have the job of educating the rest of us. Beautiful photos! Reply
